HIM
is a Finnish ‘Love Metal’ (That’s right. They invented their own genre)
band from Helsinki. The band was initially formed in 1991 by vocalist
Ville Valo, guitarist Mikko Lindström and bassist Mikko Paananen. Now,
their current lineup consists of Valo, Lindström, Paananen, Mika
Karppinen on drums (1999-present) and Janne Puurtinen on keyboards
(2001-present). HIM have released two demos - Witches And Other Night
Fears (1992) and This Is Only The Beginning (1995), one EP - 666 Ways To
Love: Prologue (1996), seven full length albums, their first being
Greatest Love Songs Vol. 666 (released November 20, 1997) and their
latest being Screamworks: Love in Theory and Practice (released February
8, 2010), and four compilations/remix albums.Current Lineup:
